Western AgCredit Donates to Northwest's Pink Tractor Program

In February of 2015, Western AgCredit made a $5000 donation to the American Cancer Society in support of Northwest Farm Credit’s Pink Tractor Program, a program developed to raise awareness and funds to support cancer research.

“Northwest’s Pink Tractor Program is a great example of how Farm Credit gives back, and we commend their efforts,” said President Richard Weathered. “Western AgCredit is honored to have the opportunity to support this program and hope the funds donated will help find a cure for a disease that impacts so many lives.”

The Pink Tractor program was started to honor the memory of Northwest FCS CFO Michal Armstrong who lost his battle with breast cancer in 2004. The goal of the Pink Tractor Program is to bring awareness, raise money for the cause and enjoy events centered around the display and promotion of the Pink Tractor Program.

Throughout Northwest Farm Credit’s territory, the Pink Tractor has attended community events, customer appreciation days, agriculture shows and cancer races – nearly 50 events in two years – raising thousands of dollars that were donated to breast cancer research organizations.
