Western AgCredit Closing All Lobbies to Help Prevent the Spread of Covid-19

In an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, Western AgCredit will be temporarily closing the lobby of all office locations to the public until further notice at the end of business on Tuesday, March 24th. Employees will still be working normal hours and available by appointment. We urge customers to communicate with Western AgCredit staff by telephone, email, video chat, or other electronic means to keep personal contact to a minimum. In the event in-person meetings are necessary, they can be arranged with a minimum number of participants necessary using social distancing practices.

We know this is a critical time in agriculture as new equipment and operating loans are being secured for this growing season. We are committed to making sure this temporary closure does not impact quality of service or availability of funds. Some employees are working from a remote location, but fully accessible to meet your needs. The branches and administrative office remain staffed with adequate personnel to perform critical functions to ensure business continuity.

“The safety of our employees and customers is our top priority, while also remaining committed to delivering on our mission to provide the most dependable source of credit to agriculture during these uncertain times,” said President David Brown. “This temporary closure will help ensure that our staff can meet our mission while adhering to social distancing guidelines. This was a difficult decision since our daily interactions with customers are a highlight of our jobs, but we have a responsibility to balance the safety of our staff and customers with the need to provide essential services. We are confident that this measure strikes the right balance.”

This temporary closure will remain in place for a minimum of two weeks or until further notice. Working together, we can ensure funding needs are met and customers can continue to run their farming operations without interruption in an effort to help supply the most safe and abundant food supply in the world.
