Two days before Farm Credit turns 100, the United States Senate sent an early birthday present by unanimously passing a resolution congratulating Farm Credit on its milestone and recognizing our continuing success in supporting rural communities and agriculture.
Just prior to adjourning for the party conventions and summer recess, the Senate late on July 14 passed Senate Resolution 349 by unanimous consent. The action came after the resolution’s primary sponsors, Agriculture Committee Chair Pat Roberts and Ranking Minority Member Debbie Stabenow led an effort to ensure that no objections to the bill would be raised.
Farm Credit thanks these Senators and all those who voted to pass the Farm Credit resolution in time for the System’s 100th anniversary on July 17. We look forward to continuing our mission of supporting rural communities and agriculture for another century.
