Kim is the owner and operator of a farming enterprise specializing in alfalfa hay production along with barley, silage corn, safflower, and wheat.

He currently serves on the board of the Newton Water Users Association. Kim graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He and his family live in Newton, Utah.
