LaMar has worked for Western AgCredit since 1987. Currently he is the Chief Credit Officer, responsible for supervising lending throughout the Association. LaMar has also worked as a loan officer and an internal auditor for Western AgCredit.

LaMar graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics. After graduation, LaMar went to work for Federal Land Bank Association of Sacramento where he worked as a loan officer and appraiser before coming to Western AgCredit.

LaMar grew up on a farm near Preston, ID where they raised grain and hay. LaMar and his wife Susan have three daughters, two of whom are married, one son and two grandchildren. The Barringtons live in Palmyra, UT. LaMar enjoys spending time with Susan doing a variety of activities including supporting their children in various activities, reading, traveling and spending time in the mountains.
