
Leon has worked for the Farm Credit System since January of 1980. After training in California, he came to work for Western AgCredit. He currently oversees the Rosevelt Branch and maintains his own loan portfolio.
Leon has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics and a minor in animal science from Brigham Young University. After graduation, he worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service in Fillmore, UT; Richfield, UT and Coalville, UT before starting his job with Farm Credit.
Leon was raised on a cattle and sheep ranch in Fremont, UT. Today Leon still has ownership interest in the family operation, and he enjoys spending free time working on the farm that was homesteaded by his family in 1878. Leon and his wife, Becky, have five children and four grandchildren. Leon enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, boating, waterskiing, traveling and golfing.
