Richard has served on the Western AgCredit Board of Directors since 2003. In 2009, he was elected as Vice-Chairman. Richard enjoys the association he has with the other board members and the people he meets as a Director. Richard also serves as a member of the Credit Review and Planning Committees and is a member of the District Stockholders Advisory Committee.

Richard owns and operates the family cow-calf operation that he grew-up working on. He started working on the ranch when he was just five years old, and in 1993 he became owner of the operation. He also has been backgrounding and finish feeding his beef animals in Utah and Nebraska.

Richard has served as President of the Utah Cattlemen’s Association, been the Chairman of the Utah Beef Council and served as Chairman of Producer Communications Committee on the Cattleman’s Beef Board. Richard and his wife, Marcea, have four married children and 12 grandchildren. In his free time, Richard enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting and riding snowmobiles.
